Dubbo Local History
Dubbo is a city in the Orana Region of New South Wales, Australia. It is also the major centre for the wider Dubbo Region. Dubbo is located approximately 400km northwest of Sydney and is situated at the intersection of major highways and railway lines. Pre-colonisation
The Dubbo region was initially occupied by the Wiradjuri people, who have lived in the area for thousands of years. Colonisation
